Order Samsung YP-U3JQB 2GB Touch Control MP3 Player (Black)

This MP3 player worked fine, within its limitations, for four months. Then the spring-loaded USB connector wore out and ceased working. At first this feature impressed me as kind of cool, but in fact it's a fatal flaw in design.Get more detail about Samsung YP-U3JQB 2GB Touch Control MP3 Player (Black).

Where To Buy Centon Craze 8GB MP3 Player (Green)

I bought 2 of these MP3 players. Result after 3 months of very moderate use:

One was only playing for 1hr before the cheap, plastic on/off switch broke and rendered the unit useless
The second one only plays for 1hr and only immediately after being charged. If you wait a couple days after charging there is not even enough power to start up the unit.

Save your money, don't but a Centon product.Get more detail about Centon Craze 8GB MP3 Player (Green).

Insignia Ns-da2g 2 Gb Mp3 Player Review

This MP3 player is excellent! I got it to replace a (horrible) Sansa c250, and the difference is night and day. Long battery life, very high contrast screen, sane UI.

The one quirk I noticed with it is that if it's not powered on before I plug it into my computer, it resets itself to factory defaults. (but retains the music still). Also, it'd be nice if it took something like a microSD memory card, as the player is awesome, but it would be nice to perhaps upgrade it to increased storage.

Update: I ended up with another one of these players (long story!), and it doesn't exhibit the reset-on-plug-in quirk described above. So maybe it was fixed with a particular firmware or something.Get more detail about Insignia Ns-da2g 2 Gb Mp3 Player.

Archos 605 Wi-Fi Portable Media Player (4 GB) Top Quality

Despite many negative reviews, I bought the 4GB Archos 605. It is by far the best video/MP3/WiFi device I ever own, and I have owned many. My last good device was the inSignia that served me well for MP3 and 320x240 perfect video (AVI movies.) Now the Archos took its place and I use it every day. You should consider buying the 4GB because that is the only model that has the SD card slot, exactly what I want. I have hundreds of my AVI movies at 640 x 480 and higher to 720 pixel wide (but I try to stay at or below 704.) With the Archos, the video at the resolution I mentioned above is PERFECT. True, I had to buy both video plug ins to be able to watch all my movies because they are coded with different video and audio codecs, but the Archos 605 4GB gives me 5.1 audio out via the SPDIF. No other player in this class has that. I also bought the Archos DVR station that allows me to output the movie to flat screen LCD monitors. The quality on the TV is very good, of DVD quality. Of course, this is no BlueRay, but this is excellent for AVIs. I carry with me a handful of 8 and 16 GB SDHC cards, each hold 6 to 10 DVD quality full length movies in my pocket, and can pick and choose any of my favorite movies I want any place. I convert my DVDs into AVIs at high quality settings so each movie is between 700 MB and 1.4 MB. With the WiFi, I can surf the web for free (I had to buy that plug in too.) The navigation is just great with the touch screen and as a bonus for me, it can play slide show with music in the back ground. I have all my music in 4 8GB SDHC cards. I highly recommend this player. There are some complaints about battery life. I have no problem at all using the supplied special USB connector and a $20 Radio Shack AC-to-USB power adapter. At night, I can watch my movies in bed while the Archos is plugged into the wall. It never ran out of power. This is the best MP3/Video player out there. The image quality is great, and I am very demanding on this one issue. I am very happy with this, and hope it will last me at least a few years.Get more detail about Archos 605 Wi-Fi Portable Media Player (4 GB).

Transcend T.sonic 840 4 GB Video MP3 Player (Black) Immediately

The Transcend T.sonic 840 is an adequate MP3 player, and a decent FM radio tuner. The other functions on the device are pretty much a waste of time and space.

The first thing I did when I turned it on was to start the radio, because I hadn't loaded any files on it yet. It immediately popped up a message requesting me to plug in the headphones. Weird... so I checked the device and the manual, and found that in fact this device does not have a speaker.

Okay, I'm not going to get really great sound out of something like this. But my Zen Stone has a speaker, and I do use it. (Mostly for audio books where sound quality isn't that critical.) So I was disappointed to find that I had to use headphones with the T.sonic.

Once I had the ear buds in (and I really dislike ear buds, but didn't want to spend time digging for headphones), the radio sound was quite adequate. I loaded some MP3 files onto the device, and again the sound was quite good for a device of this type. Navigation through folders was pretty easy.

I really wanted to see how video would look on a screen this small. Then I got another unpleasant surprise. In order to play a video on the device, you have to convert it to their proprietary "MTV" format. Ugh. So I installed their conversion utility and ripped a DVD to my hard drive. I converted one of the VOB files from the DVD and copied it to the T.sonic. The video was pretty blocky, but better than I expected. But... there was no sound. I tried the MP3 and radio to make sure the ear buds were plugged in right, then back to the video. No sound.

So I converted the DVD into a couple of file formats that the T.sonic said it supported and tried to convert them to the MTV format. Whatever format I tried, it popped up a window saying that the import had failed, and that I needed to go find and install some video codecs first.

Okay, that's pretty bad software design. If a conversion programs needs codecs in order to work, I expect it to come with those installed. Better yet, I expect a device that claims to be a video player to be able to use some of the common mobile video formats without an additional conversion.

Overall, this is a pretty disappointing device. I'll probably keep it as an MP3 player, because it has more storage and a better interface than the Zen Stone. But they would have done better to have left the video and other features off. They're just too much trouble for a barely acceptable picture on a tiny screen.Get more detail about Transcend T.sonic 840 4 GB Video MP3 Player (Black).

iriver CXW-2G Clix 2 GB Digital Music and Video Player, White Best Quality

At the time we could not afford an Ipod so I researched other options 3 years ago. It sounded like this Iriver fit our budget and sounded very good. It comes in all this fancy packaging and came across like a very high end product. But it was problematic from the get go. We updated the firmware several times but the thing wouldn't work very much. This was for my teenage daughter and she got so frustrated with it she didn't even want to bother us about it any more. It sat unused for quite awhile before we knew that once again it wasn't working. This was the biggest waste of money. Oh and try to get tech support with this was a pain beyond anything. I am somewhat of a middle aged geeky housewife and understand better than the average person how to approach software issues but this thing was really testing my patience. They had the marketing in place with this but the actual firmware with this was ill conceived and the tech support for it was not really there or up to any standards I am used to. We ended up purchasing Sansa Fuzes for around 60.00 each that really work. We have three of them and we really haven't had any issues with them for the past 1.5 yrs. We have a subscription to Rhapsody and download music to our Sansas. I know you can use Pandora for free music but we don't mind paying a little more for more options. You can have up to three mp3s and three computers registered with Rhapsody at a time. Toys R Us and Radio Shack had sales on the Sansas in the past. 8GB MP3 Video Player with Touch Screen Get it now!

I had been wanting an itouch for almost 2 years now but have never been able to afford one. so i had $60 saved and i bought this. i was kind of ticked because the post office wouldnt deliver and we had to pick it up but that wasnt the sellers fault it was the post offices. i think that overall this is a decent product. BAD THINGS: it took me almost 2 days to figure out how to put music cuz everyone said you can just use windows media player but it wouldnt work on mine. i found out one the second day that it was my USB cord that wasnt working not my vtouch. so fortunately the cord for my moms digital camera fit it and it was very easy to put music on after that. i recommend just going to your music and highlighting all your songs, right clicking, click send to, then click the name of your vtouch. its much easier and faster than windows. disappointment came when i found out it DIDNT have a camera then i looked and this model DOES NOT have a camera only certain models do but not all. i recommend looking on [...] for one of these. great amount of memory for the price. ive yet to find out how to put pictures and videos on it but ive only had it a few days. doesnt have anywhere to put stylus. i ddnt rly mind that though cuz i dnt use the stylus. but if u do u might get annoyed. ummm...good silicone case...charger is just the usb cord plugged into some thing in the wall so it has a short charger and doesnt stretch very far. screen can have delayed reactions and instead of clicking exactly in the middle of each button you have to click just above them. the only thing that REALLY bothered me was how long it took me to figure out how to get the music on it but it was just my cord. overall good product for me. if your electronically inclined then this should be easy for you. im pretty electronically inclined but it was past the normal time i was sposed to be in bed when i was trying so i was ttly out of it. good product, recommended for teens and kids. i dnt rly think many middle aged people would like this product though. theyed get ticked off at itGet more detail about 8GB MP3 Video Player with Touch Screen.

2GB Micro Sport Black Buy Now

A few months ago, I bought this MP3 player, as it was cheap and I was in need of a new MP3 player. The day I got it, it froze on me. I should have known then that this would be trouble.

After only having this MP3 player for a couple of months, I've had numerous issues with it. The first was a problem with it turning off and freezing for no apparent reason. The final straw came today when, for no real reason, the MP3 player would not take a charge. Whenever I went to attach it to a power source, the Memorex logo would flash then the device would turn off, then the logo appeared and again turned off.

This MP3 player is also not ideal if you are looking to listen to podcasts then turn it off, then to listen again, because if you turn it off, you lose your progress and the fast-forward function is extremely slow.

However, for just listening to music, it does it's job, providing decent quality. The earbuds it comes with are not great, so you will most likely need a new pair, as well.

When this MP3 player works, it's fine. However, with all my problems with this one, I will most likely never buy something from Memorex again. I wish I could recommend this as it's cheap and is ok when it works, however with all the problems I've had, I simply cannot recommend it. Get more detail about 2GB Micro Sport Black.

Argosy HV676 - Digital AV player Order Now

I own one of these, and I just love it. Plays almost anything I throw at it except flash video and mp4. But for mpg, avi, vob and divx, just plug and play.
The player has no buttons though, you have to use the included remote to work it. I programmed a universal remote (set to DVD) and put away the manufacturer's remote... That worked beautifully.
Good player. Does what it says it should.
Four stars. Five if it could play ALL my digital media. Perhaps a file converter could be included in the package.Get more detail about Argosy HV676 - Digital AV player.

Trekstor 74412 i.Beat emo 2GB MP3 Player Decide Now

No reflection on the seller, the manufacturer that made these is the one to blame, but no reason to waste money on something that will be non-functioning in a month or two. I have 3 of those just sitting around here looking at me!!! I never received this one from the seller after waiting for a month and they had them on sale at my local Office Depot store for less. Seller was apologetic and refund was swifty!!!!Get more detail about Trekstor 74412 i.Beat emo 2GB MP3 Player.

Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB Orange (2nd Generation) OLD MODEL Right now

What is there to say about the iPod shuffle that hasn't already been said in the other 600+ reviews?

So here are the five things *I* like best about it:

It's small and lightweight and goes right into my shirt pocket.
It's inexpensive so if i lose or break it or if it is stolen no big deal.
I can use the controls without looking at it.
It holds just the right amount of music.
Sand doesn't mess it up at the beach.
The charge lasts a long time.

Okay, so that's six.

Anyway, I've had my shuffle for 2 1/2 years and I still love it.Get more detail about Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB Orange (2nd Generation) OLD MODEL.

Save Freestyle Audio 200SPT Soundwave Waterproof 2GB Blue MP3 Player Blue Bundle With Aquapac 916 Waterproof Headphones

I bought this with the intention of using it while doing laps in the pool. This is a big disappointment. It had sporadic operation after one use in the pool and quit working alltogether after the second use. The unit would not turn off and the battery would die down when not used. It seems it's not waterproof after all. Basically I had to throw it away since the warranty is gone. For something they claim is shockproof and durable, how come there is only a 90 day warranty? Even if it did work the operation is very confusing and difficult to use. You can barely read the rubber buttons and they don't always respond unless pressed hard. When I first bought it and plugged it in the computer to load music, the computer would not recognize the USB unless I inserted it a couple of times. Upon researching this on the net I found out other sites had the same reviews as mine. This needs to be pulled from the market! Don't buy!Get more detail about Freestyle Audio 200SPT Soundwave Waterproof 2GB Blue MP3 Player Blue Bundle With Aquapac 916 Waterproof Headphones.
