iriver T7 Volcano 4 GB USB MP3 Player (Brown) Decide Now

I really cannot recommend the T7. Sound is good, ogg support a plus, but the play, fast forward, rewind buttons and especially the menu button requires too much pressure to activate. Plus the software is very slow and unresponsive. But the biggest negative is the player doesn't resume where it was last turned off which is the logical mode. If I break for lunch half way through The Linux Link Tech Show I want it to resume where I turned it off. Actually I was so disappointed with the T7 that I immediately bought a Samsung U5 and I love it....half the memory but twice the machine.Get more detail about iriver T7 Volcano 4 GB USB MP3 Player (Brown).

iRiver E150 4GB 2.4" Media Player Right now

If your in the market for an mp3 player move on avoid this model and manufacture along with any other mp3 player by this company.Keep reading reviews and look for another manufacture. So far the experience with this mp3 player out the box is not a good one.Between the software out the box to the manufactures web site no support for windows 7.You need to use compatibility mode to get the software installed off the cd.Once the software is installed again you must use compatibilty mode to run the software.Even using compatibilty mode the software has issues of instability and the software itself locking up and crashing. The only way to get firmware updates is through the software. The only problem with that is the software sync does not work and you keep getting "network error try again" when try to update your firmware for the device. You cannot download the firmware off the manufactures site and do firmware updates manualy from the downloaded firmware off your hard drive.Checked software setting and everything is set up for this device. You cannot download updates off the manufactures web site manualy neither.Try to get tech support is non-existant.If you call the support number you get a voice message saying all reps are busy and leave your name and phone number and we will call you back.So far 4 days and no return phone call.E-mail support is the same way also. You don't even get an automated response letting you know they even recieved your e-mail.If you go to the manufactures web site and check the features of this model it says that there is a FM schedule recording funtion that this model has. That was the main feature of why I even purchased this model for that function.I thought it would be nice to record an FM broadcast of a radio show and listen to it at a later time.I read the instructions looked all over in the software settings on this model.I had to do a search for an Iriver forum to find other buyers of Iriver mp3 players saying they had the same problem I was. There is no schedule FM recording function at all in this unit. You can record an FM broadcast but, you do it manualy yourself and stop it when your are done recording.I don't even know why they say this device even has that function right on their web site.Another terrible feature of this device is the software video playback is very limited. You also must use their crappy conversion software to convert the video file into another format for the player before you can even drop the file onto the player itself. As for the software on this device nothing special at all very generic and bland. You will also do alot of trying to figure out this devices built in software on your own. This model comes with a quick start guide that is no help at all and a cd with pdf instructions on the features the of the software you install on your computer that is of no help also. There is nothing in the package at all to help you figure out the menu system of this device. If I would have read a review like the one listed above I would have never went through the hassel of buying anything by this manufacture. One thing I have learned by this experience is to check everything out about the manufacture of these devices before you make a purchase.Even check out their web site and try to send an email to the manufacture about a question on the device you are buying or try to call them to see how their customer service is with a question. Some of these mp3 players are expensive not cheap depending on the model you go with and with the shipping and the wait time invloved in getting your order you do not want to go through all the trouble I have had with this manufacture. If my experience changes by this companys tech support responding to my e-mail or phone call I will then repost another review.Hope this review helps everyone out and to avoid the misleading information about this product. Low Price MyMusix PD201 Portable MP3 Player

This is a review of the awesome little MP3 player that might have been. I love this little player... okay, I COULD love this player. I really didn't expect this review to be a gripe session, but unfortunately this player isn't what it could be.

I specifically wanted an MP3 player that would work with SD cards because they are inexpensive and reusable should my MP3 player ever become unusable. I almost bought a 4 Gig SD card for this but 2 GIGABYTES IS THE LIMIT. This limitation is unfortunate, but not a deal killer.

The sound is great, especially on the "Rock" equalizer setting. I would have thougth Jazz or Live might be better, but to my ears and my wife's ears all of the settings but Rock sounded a bit tinny. Again, so far so good.

This leads me to this player's first fatal flaw: You can't save any of the settings. Another reviewer said that this only matters for books. Wrong! EVERY TIME you turn it on you have to set the Equalizer (unless you like the tinny standard setting), then you have to set the song you want to start on (because believe me, you WILL get sick of the first 10 songs in the list). This is a bigger problem than it sounds like, because the player shuts off after only a couple of minutes. Answer the phone, set the settings. Get a drink of water, set the settings. Bio break, set the settings. You get the idea. It's excruciating.

And you know that big disk in the center that you see in the photos that you obviously use to switch songs? It's just decoration. That little tiny "nib" in the center is a "joystick" that you use to select settings/songs. It is a delicate operation that will make you stop what you are doing in order to tend to your player. Definitely not a one-handed operation. I tend to use the tip of my fingernail because it's just too easy to select the wrong thing because pressing down on the joystick is the select button.

But wait, it gets worse. If the player EVER touches ANYTHING it suddenly loses its mind and says "no card." The only recovery from this situation is to shut off the player, REMOVE THE CARD, re-insert it (carefully because other reviewers said it wears out) and--you guessed it--set the settings again. I can't imagine that the person who said it was good for working out has ever actually tried it. I got a "no card" within 30 seconds.

Again, I really wanted to like this player. As it is I think I'm going to hook it up to a Sonic Impact T-Amp and a power supply so that I can leave it on FOREVER so that I don't have to set the settings every time I want to listen to a song.

Finally, the shuffle function doesn't work. It repeats the same songs just a few songs apart, and if you ever skip forward to a new song and go one too far ("oh, I like that one...") if you press the back button it's just a random song, not the one you just saw.

If this player didn't have an unreliable SD card slot, if it could handle cards greater than 2 Gig, if it saved settings and had a real shuffle function, it would be great. As it is it's just not worth the trouble.Get more detail about MyMusix PD201 Portable MP3 Player.

Save Coby PMP-3522 20 GB Portable Media Player with Touchscreen Interface

I bought this player since I like to put my movies into media player so that I can watch them whenever I want to and I am also very interested in such state-of-art technology. The player surprised me a lot because 1. very clear (like digital effect)video display. ( I converted video into 400X230 resolution); 2. very loud built-in speaker; 3. there is a resume function and you can watch your video right from where you stopped if you couldn't finish watching it. 4. remote control is plus so that you can watch your movies on your TV and still can remotely control. Anyway, I have not found any setback for this media player and it is the best one that I have ever used. I love it so much and it can be used as an electronic dictionary too.Get more detail about Coby PMP-3522 20 GB Portable Media Player with Touchscreen Interface.

Cheapest Coby 4 GB Flash MP3 Player with 3-Inch Color LCD, FM and Touch Screen Control (Black)

This is the first mp3 player that I have had since my ipod. The thing I liked about the ipod was that I felt it was easy to use and to create play lists that were easily accessable on the device. (I like my music to be organized and like to listen to a variety of artists depending on my mood which makes the play lists good). I tried using the software that came with the player and this was completely useless. KI would make a play list and sync it up and nothing would transfer with the play list it was all separate and off of the main menu ( you would think it would put it under music in thje main menu right....nope. I tried with windows media player and that didn't work either. So I finally copy and pasted to it from the drive menu on the computer and that seemed to work, although I'm not happy with the way the player names the files that are transffered to it. So now that I thought I finally figured this thing it out...it keeps freezing, and now won't turn on at all. It is nice that it has a speaker on the outside and a radio feature, and pictures look good on the display. Wanting this mostly for music I am very disappointed. Cheap Creative Zen Stone Plus 2 GB MP3 Player (Red)

I picked up this device expecting a great alternative to an iPod Shuffle after having fallen in love with the Creative Vision M. After a couple of hours playing around with this, I was really disappointed in my purchase. This turned out to be the most problematic Mp3 player I've owned.

The most annoying thing about this MP3 player is the laggy interface. If a song is being played and you try to click through the menus, there is literally a 3-5 second lag time before the screen updates. Before it even has a chance to update, the menu would sometimes time-out and go back to the "now playing" screen, and you will have to start all over again. The latest firmware update doesn't resolve this issue and the only solution I can think of is to pause your music before you go into a menu.

If you press the next button really fast to skip through a bunch of tracks, the device would lag up, taking 3-5 seconds to go through each single track. It would forget how many times you pressed the button after a certain number of presses. For example, pressing the next button 20 times at 0.5 second intervals might only result in 10 tracks skipped after approximately 30-50 seconds of lag time.

Another big problem is poor battery life. You can only get about 8 hours from a single charge. Also, if you fully charge the device and just leave it turned off and unplugged, the battery would drain itself out completely within a week. I thought the clock was responsible for this but even after disabling it, I experience the same problem.

I don't think it's worth mentioning the positives since these three problems I've mentioned cripple the device so severely. I am surprised that Creative allowed their name to be placed on such a horrible product.

I highly recommend that you stay away from this Mp3 player and instead, consider the Sandisk Sansa Clip which is an excellent alternative.Get more detail about Creative Zen Stone Plus 2 GB MP3 Player (Red).

Buying Sony 2 GB Walkman Video MP3 Player (Red)

Before purchasing this item, the seller should have made it abundantly clear that the item beig offered for sale was NOT fuctioning and that it was a very old and unusable piece of JUNK. When the product arrived, I complained about its poor condition and the feed back I had from the seller was that I should have known better. He refunded the cost of the item less the postage.
The seller's behaviour has discouraged me from wanting to buy from amazon.com.Get more detail about Sony 2 GB Walkman Video MP3 Player (Red).

Buy 8GB Touch MP3 2.8IN Screen/camera

I really only wanted an mp3 player with 8gb capacity. My first problem came when it just froze up and wouldn't turn on. After a bit of searching, I found the support number for Eclipse TCH828. I had to download a firmware file to fix the problem. This erased everything I had put on the device, but it worked again.

The second ongoing problem I had was the player's inability to keep track of the music by the usual categories of artist, album, and genre. It does in a haphazard fashion and when it can't figure something out, it places it in a category called "Unkown" (sic). That is if you're lucky. Otherwise it doesn't categorize them at all. I called the support staff again and was told I had to ID3 tag them. I explained to him that all the mp3 files had the correct identifying tags. He told me to erase everything in Audio and then drag one file into Audio. When I did this it worked for the one file. I told him that it works for some but not all files. He told me I didn't have an issue that he could duplicate, therefore he could not help me.

Today, the player froze up again. It's in the trash. I wouldn't buy any product from this company (Mach Speed). Get more detail about 8GB Touch MP3 2.8IN Screen/camera.

Where To Buy 1.5" Color MP3 Video 2G Silver

Shop For 1.8" TFT Screen 4GB MP3 MP4 Player voice recorder

I have to admit I just got this and maybe down the road I'll have issues but right now I think it's great! The FM radio is very good (I have had MP3 players with radios and they are usually very poor quality). This one is awesome! Big clear digital display makes it easy to find and mark stations, it doesn't lose the signal when indoors.

For video the screen is very bright even outside. I am vision impaired and I can still see it. The video seems a little choppy when there is a lot of action but not so much you'd be annoyed by that. I used the included software to transcode a movie and put it on in less then 15 minutes and it looked and sounded great.

I am going to put music on it today and see how that goes.

The first review I read put the device down as being cheap and not having all the fancy MP3 features but for $25 what do you think? It's not an I-Pod! If it dies toss it and get another one.

Yes, I agree, don't leave it on the charger overnight or unattended. That's not a fault of the player it's the battery. You can kill a lithium battery pretty quick doing that. It would be nice if you could change the battery or reset the device if it goes haywire but as far as I've seen you can't. Keep a backup copy of your content on a computer!

I think these come unbranded (the email address is a gmail account) so that companies can hand them out as gifts and put the company logo on them. If I could get them in bulk I'd be giving them out to strangers! I like it that much!

I think I'll buy a couple more before people find out how kewl they are and buy them all up!Get more detail about 1.8" TFT Screen 4GB MP3 MP4 Player voice recorder.

Coby MP565 2 GB MP3 Player with Clip and LCD Screen (Black) Right now

This MP3 player looks and sounds like a bargain. However, this is a very poor quality player that needs to remain in the factory. I bought this MP3 player early September 2008 and before a week of having it had gone by it had already given me problems. The songs stopped playing, the screen became distorted when I pressed the toggle stick, and the player retired and ceased to power up. Do not buy this player, continue your search for another player. It deserves no stars at all and should be rated as Return to the Factory. Hope this helps! Get more detail about Coby MP565 2 GB MP3 Player with Clip and LCD Screen (Black).

This product is easy to use, the sound is fine, buttons and functions are exellent. It's pretty and even a bit of glamour in it. If I had to say one bad thing it's the headphones.
