I first had a 4GB ipod nano (2nd generation) and I really loved it. It was great just for listening to music. My fiance decided to get a zune, and once he got it I was jealous :) it was alot cooler than my ipod, it could play videos, and had better games. I found a zune that was 8gb for the same price I had paid for my ipod. The zune is definietly better than the ipod, and even the zune software is pretty cool. It works with WMP, which I liked better than iTunes. The ONLY thing that I miss about my ipod was the ability to search for a song. With zune I cant search but because it is a touch pad it is quicker. Overall, I love it. Get more detail about Zune 4 GB Video MP3 Player (Black).

SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player (Red) Review
I bought this MP3 player for my kids (ages 7 & 9) to listen to their music and audio books. They really enjoy them. They are easy for the kids to use and simple to sync songs and books to. Shop For Creative Labs Zen X-Fi 2 8 GB MP3 and Video Player with Touchscreen and Built-In Speaker (Black and Silver)
The product itself is quite pleasing to the eye and the fact holds true for the packaging. The item comes to you in a plastic case that is quite sturdy and reusable speaking of top-shelf price point.
The XFi2 (this model) has 8GB's internal memory and can support additional external storage via a micro SD card. The package includes a set of Creative's quality ear buds and several promotional fly-outs like trials to Napster.
The player sports a multi-function 3.5mm audio jack that can also be connected via an adapter to stream A/V feeds right to your television. It has many audio settings that bring in-depth audio quality but, with that quality comes a bit of complexity and may take several tries to get the settings where you like.
The biggest let-down with this item is a fairly uncooperative touch screen. The player's unlocking mechanism, which is triggered by the selector button at the right of the player screen, prompts the user to press and slide a "lock" icon to the bottom of the viewing screen. Simple enough but, it feels as though you might have to press a bit too hard. These players are bargains but, they still cost a pretty penny. Menu navigation with this device can be tedium as well with the, seemingly unresponsive, characteristics of the PMP's touch screen.
I suspect that the player needs refinement programmatically to support a touch screen more efficiently. I would suspect that the issues are due to the user interface threading models and not the on-board RAM memory or processor; the music plays uninterrupted while engaging the touch screen at any point during playback.
This player thumps for the price and it is updated with newer drivers very easily so, with that in mind it gets four stars. The touch side of the device is a pain sometimes but, it is still manageable. The product is also manufactured and warrantied by an established, reputable company and not some fly by night import re-branding hole in the wall.
So, there you have it.Get more detail about Creative Labs Zen X-Fi 2 8 GB MP3 and Video Player with Touchscreen and Built-In Speaker (Black and Silver).

Where To Buy Apple iPod nano 16 GB Black (4th Generation) [Previous Model]
Small, lightweight, great battery life, great sound quality. Most of all, you can't beat Itunes right now for managing music, podcasts, ITunes University, audiobooks, etc, which is the reason I'm using an IPOD. For some (dumb) reason Apple decided to add a camera in the 5th generation model, unfortunate since I couldn't bring it to work! 4th generation is the optimal model in this line for that reason. My only complaint: the clickwheel, which I realize is trendy but it has at least two inconveniences: 1) it is hard to make small volume adjustments, especially when it's in your pocket, and 2) it is hard to rewind just a little bit (like if you miss part of an audiobook) -- if you don't hit just right, you rewind the whole thing. This is where I think other mp3 players (like sony's) have an advantage from a 'practical' point of view -- but this requires more 'buttons'-- something apple is adverse to so they often choose fashion over functionality, unfortunately.Get more detail about Apple iPod nano 16 GB Black (4th Generation) [Previous Model].

Purchase TU301LL/A Crystal film set iPod touch 2G
I actually like it better than the glass because swiping is smoother, fingers don't stick under hard gaming.
Touch sensitivity is not affected, which is nice.
When applying, make sure you're not even near a heating vent in your house; kicks up small dust.
Way superior to cheap protectors.Get more detail about TU301LL/A Crystal film set iPod touch 2G.

This new type of Walkman from Sony far exceeded my expectations. It is compact, comfortable to wear, easy to operate and there aren't any annoying wires to dangle or tangle. ILive 2.1-Channel Speaker Bar With IPod DockILive 2.1-Channel Speaker Bar With IPod Dock
ILive 2.1-Channel Speaker Bar With IPod Dock (Black)

Good for the price but you need to weigh against the cons

The iLive IT188B is a good concept that needs some work. It's a solid piece of equipment that has very good build quality, has a decent feature set, and has "fit anywhere" styling but the overall execution leaves a bit to be desired.
The Good:
1) iPod dock charges an iPod without the IT188B needing to be on.
2) Built in AM/FM radio is a nice extra but could have been left out to make the product cheaper.
3) Connections are quick and easy.
4) Works with Logitech Harmony (and presumably other) remotes.
5) Sound quality is very good (see The Bad) and can get quite loud without distortion. Good bass/treble ranges.
6) Mounting hardware is included and is a nice extra to have.
Two inputs plus iPod and radio provides enough source connections for an excellent price.
7) Cheap!
The Bad:
1) First unit produced a loud hum when volume is anything but 0. Tried in multiple outlets (to isolate from home theater components and any ground loops) but hum is always there. Overpowering during quiet passages and is really unacceptable. Unit also would not turn on one night and had no display. Unplugged it for an hour and plugged it back in and it worked normally after that. Contacted manufacturer for both issues and they quickly said to return it to the store or send it in for replacement (within 90-day warranty) as it's clearly defective. I opted to exchange it (to avoid shipping charges). Second unit has not failed but still exhibits a loud hum though lower than the first unit. Might be able to put up with it but it's still unacceptable and points to a design flaw. When source volume is loud enough to overpower the hum, it's great and works really well. Not "clearly defective" but rather a design flaw, I'd say, since it's exhibited on two random units so far.
2) Buttons on side of unit are convenient but tough to use as you have to get your head in the entertainment unit to see them. Will have to memorize their functions.
3) Tuning can only be done with on-unit buttons, not with remote.
4) Remote buttons not backlit and are pretty tiny though you really don't need to use them if you have the volume control mapped to a universal remote.
If the bar did not hum, it would be a 5-star product (maybe 4 due to the one night it failed to power on). Very solid construction, simple to use and set up, and excellent sound for the money.
If you can get one that does not hum, you'll likely be impressed at the value per dollar. It it hums, you'll probably want to return it.
Update 12/14/09:
Finally returned the unit to where I purchased it because the hum was just overwhelming. Since the unit was decent otherwise, I checked out another model that was on sale at a local electronics megastore and found that the new model, IT209B (3.1 channel), did NOT hum and sounded as good or better. Only major difference is that the IT209 is a whopping 37" wide and doesn't fit our entertainment unit so I had to devise a mounting method using some short length of 2x4 studs.
If you still consider the IT188B, make sure it does not hum. You won't like it!

Buying Apple iPod nano 8 GB Black (3rd Generation) OLD MODEL
I got an Ipod in December 2007 after my old Zen Neon mp3 player sadly broke.
Just a 4Gig Ipod is fine by me. This is a great choice of Mp3 player for listening to music anywhere you want! The sound quality is great and it's easy to use Itunes to put your songs on to your Ipod.
Appearance - 5/5 - sleak & very nice, also easy to handle and soft on the hands.
Ease of Use - 5/5 - It's simple to press & play songs and to choose your other features it's basically a big bright looking screen with a button and scroll wheel to scroll through your songs.
Battery Life - 3/5 - Battery Life doesn't last very long if you're using your Ipod with the brightness setting on high, but if you have the brightness setting on the lowest setting the battery power will last a long time [The brightness affects your battery life, if you have it on and charge it all night the Ipod runs out of battery within 45 minutes!]
Capacity - 5/5 - 4Gigabytes isn't bad if you want to use your Ipod as a music player.
Videos & other stuff will take up more space. I just like my Ipod as a music player.
Display - 5/5 - The Ipod Nano is big enough to see your song information & stuff on the screen
Customer Support - 5/5 - Customer support on the Apple website is very useful you can either contact them directly or use the forums, I don't suggest using the forums since no one replies but it's better to contact Apple Support directly on their email they are very friendly & they reply quickly.
Features - 5/5 - The Ipod has a wide range of features you don't just have to put music on it you can also put videos on it & watch movies on it, play games on it and more!
Portabillity - 5/5 - the best thing about the Ipod is the portabillity, you can take this ipod wherever you go!
Good Price - 5/5 - The Ipod is reasonably priced and it's a good affordable Media Player. I recommend this item!Get more detail about Apple iPod nano 8 GB Black (3rd Generation) OLD MODEL.

Cheapest Apple 30 GB iPod AAC/MP3 Video Player Black (5.5 Generation)
Okay, so you're thinking of buying an iPod. You've seen the iPod Touch and you've been blown away. Who wouldn't be? It's a great little gizmo. You can do a lot with it, surf the web, play Tetris, learn Japanese, do e-mail, play music and so much more, but if you're like me and have more music than you can shake a stick and you want to carry it with you wherever you go, then the iPod Touch just might not cut the mustard, storage wise.
If it's just music or videos you want an iPod for. Or if you have an iPhone and you need a second device to carry around your music, then I'd heartedly recommend a 5th Gen iPod. Read on and see why.
I was cruising Amazon, checking out small hard drives, as I wanted to carry all my music around with me. I somehow wound up the page for the Apricorn Bio Hard Drive, a beautiful little beauty, to be sure, but I don't really need to protect my music from prying eyes, or ears for that matter. However, I clicked on over to their website and I found something much better than an external drive. I found their upgrade kit for the 5th Generation iPods and I knew it was exactly what I was looking for.
If you've got either the 5th Generation 30GB, the 60GB or the 80GB you are in luck, because not only do you have one great machine, but you can make it outstanding. Apple's current iPod Classic carries 160GB of storage, with the upgrade from Apricorn you can turn your 5th Gen 30GB iPod into a 120GB beauty and Apricorn throws in a new 580mAH battery with the hard drive along with all the direction and the tools you'll need to do the job yourself. Yeah, you don't have to send your machine to Apple to replace that battery. It's not that hard.
But what if you've got a 5th Gen 60 or 80GB iPod. Well for over half a C note less than what a new iPod Classic costs, you can upgrade the iPod you have with 240GB of storage, yeah, 240 gigs, that's a lot of music. And you get a new battery with this upgrade, too. So, how hard is the upgrade to do. It took me twenty minutes, it's easier than you'd think. Once finished, hook the iPod up to you're computer and let iTunes do it's magic and you're good to go.
The 5th Gen iPod is a solid music player even without upgrading. It's easy enough to sink it with iTunes and change the music on it. I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone, but if you want more, well you can have it.Get more detail about Apple 30 GB iPod AAC/MP3 Video Player Black (5.5 Generation).

Save Apple iPod shuffle 4 GB Pink (4th Generation) NEWEST MODEL
Works pretty well, at first I didn't know why I couldn't get it to play but it was because the battery was not fully charged. Holds the charge for a day or two - but it's pretty easy to recharge at office desk during the day. For a simple MP3 player that I can use in the car (I brought a $5 wire to connect to car system) it works well. Some of the songs sounds quieter than others and I don't know if that has to do with the MP3 Player or the MP3 file. Pretty tiny so I reco keeping it in something bigger so you don't drop/lose it. Low Price SanDisk Sansa Clip 4 GB MP3 Player (Silver)
When I received this product, it was new and completely sealed in packaging. I opened it and found that the screen did not seem to display. I was able to connect it to my computer and add music files.
I followed online instructions to navigate blindly to the brightness settings and turn them all the way up, but still couldn't see anything on the display. I finally took the Clip into a 100% dark closet and after my eyes adjusted, I was able to make out very faintly what was displayed on the screen.
I contacted Sansa through contact information on their website and received no response. I waited for a response until my return window with Amazon approached, then I returned the product to Amazon for a refund.
In reading online reviews and support forums, it appears that display problems with this device are not unheard of -- some said their Clip was dead on arrival, some said the screen stopped working suddenly for no apparent reason after weeks or months of use.Get more detail about SanDisk Sansa Clip 4 GB MP3 Player (Silver).

Pe 16gb Multi Media Player with Camera Decide Now
I have a laptop that was constantly over heating and shutting down so I decided to buy a cooling fan stand to help solve this problem. After looking at some very expensive (and cumbersome) products, this one caught my eye. The price was reasonable and it seemed to fit the bill. When I first got it I thought that I was going to be disappointed, it looked kinda flimsy. But once I used it I could not be more happy. It is light weight, and very very quiet (I have to constantly check the fans to see if they are actually on)! Since I began using this fan stand my computer has not shut down once. The three little fans really do the job.Get more detail about Pe 16gb Multi Media Player with Camera.

Get more detail about Zune 4 GB Digital Media Player (Red).
