I have a laptop that was constantly over heating and shutting down so I decided to buy a cooling fan stand to help solve this problem. After looking at some very expensive (and cumbersome) products, this one caught my eye. The price was reasonable and it seemed to fit the bill. When I first got it I thought that I was going to be disappointed, it looked kinda flimsy. But once I used it I could not be more happy. It is light weight, and very very quiet (I have to constantly check the fans to see if they are actually on)! Since I began using this fan stand my computer has not shut down once.
