Video: I found it plays most video types I use without editing for screen size. It plays 3 of the four video formats I've tried .avi, .asf, and .flv with little problem. I once saw voice not quite matching video but didn't seem a common problem on my videos.

Audio: . As for music it plays all of mine though it is all MP3 currently so I can't say with other formats but from the information it should do fine with the majority.

Text file viewing feature: I haven't used it a lot but the times I have it was handy.

1. It plays a large variety of music files including FLAC (and avi's).
2. File transfer is as simple as drag-and-drop. I7 works just like a thumb drive and instead of annoying playlists you can create your own file system. Proprietary software is included but is largely unnecessary.

Pros:
1. Touchscreen - wanted one of these that DID NOT lock me into iTunes (I HATE iTunes and normally get my MP3's from my massive CD collection or Amazon!) It is super responsive and easy to use.
2. Size 32gig - can fit massive amounts of songs on this!!! Good for someone who owns over 1000 CD's.
3. Ease of use - This thing is great, you can control it w/ the screen or the very convieniant buttons along the sides and top of this unit
4. Sound Quality is just freaking amazing!!!!!! So much better than the Sansa View I was using and that was pretty good.
5. Is extremely durable - This thing will survivie many many drop tests (if you happen to be one of those that drop things)
5. WiFi - I consider this a pro, although I did not purchase this for anything other than to play mp3 but I am glad to know the options is there if I need it.
6. Can be managed with WinAmp!!!!

Cons:
1. Web browser is absolute crap! Not sure if they will address this or not, but no where near what it should be on a Wifi device. (Did not matter to me though as I don't use it)
2. Price - it is a bit much for what I use it for and really can't compare to what the iTouch can do with Browsing and apps. (I don't know maybe NOT having to use iTunes is worth the additional price!)
3. I like a "Recently Added" file that auto fills as you add titles to the unit. My View had this and you could get the last 100 songs you uploaded there quick and easy. I have to make a play list here for this and manually manipulate it.

I had a tough time getting this to work at first. When I opened it up it had just enough charge in the battery to open up to the 'SanDisk' screen and freeze there, so I plugged it up to charge. After a while I was able to turn it off then back on successfully, but it seemed likely for a moment that I had been sent a defective product.

Then for a while Vista acted like it didn't want to recognize my device. It could "see" it, but it was nowhere to be found in My Computer or Manage Hardware. After restarting and plugging in again a few times in different ports it finally got the drivers off the player so it could see it as a player.

After that I discovered that it's impossible to sync music with my media player to my 4GB "expandable memory card", which I had bought for it because of the way the firmware is set up. It has 1GB internal memory (which I'm not using at the moment for music), but to use my card it's necessary to go in and actually create directories (new folders) on the card, and then make sure that each directory has no more than 200 or so songs in it, or it won't see ANY songs in that folder. A firmware update doesn't fix this either.

Thank goodness for the internet, or else I probably would never have figured any of this out. None of this would have been a big hassle had I simply known that I would have had to do this in the beginning, but I had to spend hours working on it and searching for solutions before I got it working properly since there are no instructions of this sort on the SanDisk website. Small, lightweight, great battery life, great sound quality. Most of all, you can't beat Itunes right now for managing music, podcasts, ITunes University, audiobooks, etc, which is the reason I'm using an IPOD. For some (dumb) reason Apple decided to add a camera in the 5th generation model, unfortunate since I couldn't bring it to work! 4th generation is the optimal model in this line for that reason. My only complaint: the clickwheel, which I realize is trendy but it has at least two inconveniences: 1) it is hard to make small volume adjustments, especially when it's in your pocket, and 2) it is hard to rewind just a little bit (like if you miss part of an audiobook) -- if you don't hit just right, you rewind the whole thing. I bought this after reading the negative reviews, and that was one of the dumbest things i have ever done! it worked for maybe a month and then the touch screen never worked well, at one point the touch screen didn`t work at all! calibrating it is hard to do, andi tried to get the seller to replace it and he never did, the seller i bought from was GJ Best and he did not want to replace, the screen is extremely easy to scratch i always buy screen protectors after i went through that! it didn`t always charge, the camera isn`t worth paying extra for, the only thing i do miss about it is the video quality, i have the htc touch ( Verizon xv6900 ) and it does not play movies very well, so the one star it gets is only for the video quality and the size its pretty small!Get more detail about Pyrus 8gb Mp3/mp4 Player with 2.8 Inch Touch Screen.

Sony Walkman X Series 16 GB Video MP3 Player w/ OLED Display Right now

I was in the market to upgrade from a 16gig MP3 player to a 32gig.

Pros:
1. Touchscreen - wanted one of these that DID NOT lock me into iTunes (I HATE iTunes and normally get my MP3's from my massive CD collection or Amazon!) It is super responsive and easy to use.
2. Size 32gig - can fit massive amounts of songs on this!!! Good for someone who owns over 1000 CD's.
3. Ease of use - This thing is great, you can control it w/ the screen or the very convieniant buttons along the sides and top of this unit
4. Sound Quality is just freaking amazing!!!!!! So much better than the Sansa View I was using and that was pretty good.
5. Is extremely durable - This thing will survivie many many drop tests (if you happen to be one of those that drop things)
5. WiFi - I consider this a pro, although I did not purchase this for anything other than to play mp3 but I am glad to know the options is there if I need it.
6. Can be managed with WinAmp!!!!

Cons:
1. Web browser is absolute crap! Not sure if they will address this or not, but no where near what it should be on a Wifi device. (Did not matter to me though as I don't use it)
2. Price - it is a bit much for what I use it for and really can't compare to what the iTouch can do with Browsing and apps. (I don't know maybe NOT having to use iTunes is worth the additional price!)
3. I like a "Recently Added" file that auto fills as you add titles to the unit. My View had this and you could get the last 100 songs you uploaded there quick and easy. I have to make a play list here for this and manually manipulate it.

I recently bought one of these mp3 players from Amazon, and I'm defiantly pleased with it.

It has a great look - (I've uploaded a picture of mine) - it's a good size, the screen is sharp and easy to read (the flash blinded out the screen on the photo I uploaded, but trust me it looks great in person), and it also has a little weight to it, which I like.

The battery life can be a little tricky, but since you can charge it with a USB cord, it's easy to manage.


And since storage is the most important thing, I'll say that I currently have over a 100 songs on my player and I still have lots of room, so I'd defiantly recommend it to someone else.
