This player is a decent MP3. The sound quality with earbuds is excellent, but the volume of the external speakers is poor - you can't hear unless the player is right next to you in a quiet room. I had hoped to use it as a small, portable player while going back and forth to work, but had to install a radio with an auxiliary jack to play it through the speakers. It is pretty easy to use if you have smaller thumbs, but have to be careful when navigating using the wheel-shaped dial. Mine holds a ton of music and audio books, and it's very simple to load using Windows Media Player.
