I've been looking for a weather proof mp3 player to take out on my jogs. This unit definitely seemed to meet my needs. I'm a big podcast listener so it's very important for me to have a player that will playback files in reverse chronological order (oldest podcast first). I tried all kinds of things with the HHS1A, but I could never figure out the order it would play files. It almost seemed to be random. Some times it would play a couple of files in alphabetical order and then it would skip a few and then start up again.
The display was too dim especially outside in direct sun. Even indoors it wasn't very bright. The menuing system is OK, nothing special, but you can navigate to all the menu items you need. The outside skin seems to be well sealed and should keep out rain and snow.
