I decided to purchase the "old style", ipod shuffle green model before there no longer available. If you want a nice compact with less frills, this one will do the job. I think the older shuffle modle looks best and is very easy to clip to your shirt without any added weight or if you decide, you could just attach and wear it on a iPod shuffle arm band. The music is easy to download from iTunes as I already have the iPhone, 3GS model but I dont't care to take it with me and have a big iPhone around my arm or in my pocket when going to the gym. This shuffle modle also has a water proof case which you can attach to your swim goggles to swim with. What a great Idea! You have got to get one! This older model is still the best - more compact and has better looks. I hope Apple doesn't decide to get rid of it altogether and just stay with the newer 3rd, 4th generation version.
