This is the perfect MP3 player for me and my needs. I sometimes take 25-100 mile bike rides and that's why I chose this MP3 player. The majority of MP3 players don't take batteries (they're charged by your computer when you connect them to the USB port). The problem with all the MP3 players on the market today (excluding the Pearl) is when you're on the "x"th mile of a bike ride or in the middle of the wilderness, and the batteries run out, you can't just hook it up to some USB port (which is unnecessary with this MP3 player because it takes a battery). It's as if all the other MP3 players on the market expect you to have a computer with you so you listen to music for hours (or days) on end. The PEARL mp3 player is perfect FOR ME because: it take a battery, it's small, it's durable, it's cheap and has the ability to hold plenty of mp3s to keep me "charged up" when I'm half way through a long bike ride.
I've owned two of these MP3 players so far and I've had no problems with either of them. The only reason I bought a 2nd one is because I accidentally dropped my first mp3 player into the ocean. And although I expected it to be broke from being dipped in the ocean, it still worked. The display was messed up a little from the salty water. This is an outstanding MP3 player all around. If you take long trips AND can't hook up to some USB port, THIS IS THE MP3 PLAYER YOU WANT. I highly recommend it, 5 stars!Get more detail about Rca Th1101 Pearl Series Thumbdrive Mp3 Player (1 Gb).
