Clip Plus 2 GB MP3 Player (Black)

I give this 5 stars because it is so rare that you come across something that is so chock-full of value. No, it doesn't have a zillion bells and whistles like the (shudder) Ipod. It is SO much better. No, it doesn't have a video screen. I wanted something that plays music while I work out. My Ipod became "corrupted" and could not be used any more. Basically, it was a tad old and did not interface with the Ipod updates - or something like that. Yes, I tried the manual re-set thing. No success. I spoke to the Mac folks and they basically told me to go away and that I would have to buy a new one. Anyway, I was sick of the Itunes nonsense. I just wanted something that sounded good, could hold a fair bunch of tunes, and required no third-party software garbage. In less than 5 minutes, this thing was fully charged, had over 25 CDs of music on it (still about 30% of the disk available), and sounds REALLY great. I know this will seem blasphemous but, brace yourselves, it sounds BETTER than my IPOD. I was amazed at the sound power and quality. It even has a convenient little built-on clip that allows you to clip it to your shirt - so no expensive fancy-schmancy arm band needed. All this for under $40.
