Insignia Pilot with Bluetooth NS-4V24 - Digital player / radio - flash 4 GB - WMA, Ogg, MP3, WMAPro, protected WMA (DRM 10) - video playback - display: 2.4"

I recently bought the 4GB Insignia Pilot and was initially pleased with it. Certainly the number of features and the design are pretty sharp and a great deal. HOWEVER, after only a few times using it it started to freeze up. It would just be playing songs, usually about to start a new track, and then freeze completely. No buttons would work. You can't even turn it off when this happens. Your only option is to let the battery completely drain, or unplug the battery (but this involves removing a tiny screw on the battery cover, so you need an eyeglass screwdriver and obviously you can't do this while out and about).

I started searching the internet and found out that this is a WIDESPREAD defect in these MP3 players. Tons of people describe the same problem. Also, go to the Insignia website (it's Best Buy's housebrand), and you will find that all support for these devices has been DISCONTINUED. No user manuals, no info, no nothing. They've totally shut down this line of products, probably because they're not reliable.

In summary, if it weren't for the freezing problem, I'd give it 5 stars, but that is a major, major strike against.Get more detail about Insignia Pilot with Bluetooth NS-4V24 - Digital player / radio - flash 4 GB - WMA, Ogg, MP3, WMAPro, protected WMA (DRM 10) - video playback - display: 2.4".
