You can use this MP3 player as a 1 GB thumb drive in addition to having a teeny MP3 player. Just take off the cap, plug it into your computer USB port to both charge the battery and to put your songs on it. Or data files. Or both. It will play both .mp3 and .wma files. It can handle music files in folders, which is a quick way to usually ensure related songs play together; if you dump files straight into the root folder it appears they play in the order copied, not alphabetically. There is a tiny on-off switch on the end without the cap, next to the earphone jack. The toggle switch on the side is used to both switch to the next/previous song, or by holding it one way or the other to (eventually) raise or lower the sound volume. Not a lot of adjustment of volume is available; it seems to go in fairly big steps.
