I would not recommend that you buy this player for the original list price. I found mine for $5--a great deal for someone like me who doesn't want all the fanciness and frufu that comes with most players. I just wanted to hear my music and have something little to carry. I got this item yesterday, and so far, it is working. There are five simple buttons: Play/pause, forward, backward, + and - for volume. To turn this item on, hold down the Play/pause button (same to turn it off). There is a little light that blinks when music is playing and stays steady when music is not playing. This player is run on battery power (AAA) and cannot be charged through the computer. It plugs right into the computer to get music and also comes with a cord that can also be used. No screen at all, and the music plays in the order you load it onto the player. Is advertised to hold 240 songs.
For a cheap price, this is a great little player.
